Your reward for being a real mom will come at every parent-teacher conference, holiday concert, sports event, and graduation. Seeing the big picture is tough when you're in the trenches of motherhood, but raising a wonderful, confident, self sufficient human being is the most important job one can do. Lacy is a lucky girl! (And it doesn't hurt to have a father with a wacky sense of humor, either -- nice antlers!)
