Another week passed and more milestones reached! Lacy is now rolling from her back to her front. She can stay in that position for quite a while and just look around and hang out until she gets fatigued. But then, most recently, she can now go from her tummy to her back again, so its one full rotation now! Of course, with this milestone goes a bit of our freedom. No more walking away from her on a bed, or on her changing table, but it is so fun to watch her discover her world in a different way. She loves that she can now get some mobility. We saw it coming...we would wake her up in the morning and find her 180 degrees from the position we laid her in that night. Now when we wake her up in the morning she is on her stomach sucking on her two fingers. Sooo cute! I will have to take a picture of it before I wake her up one morning. I consider that whole paragraph two milestones!
Her third milestone is the finding of her feet! She loves (when she is in a sitting position) to grab at them and thinks it is one of the funniest things. If she sees her feet hit something or they stick to a part of her seat or her play mat she finds that amusing as well. I have only seen her grab at her feet once in a laying down position.
Lastly, she is 'talking' up a storm. We are used to hearing coos, but now, it is these really loud noises that she loves to make. Sometimes they sound like screams, sometimes like laughs, other times just noises of a bleating goat (as Sarah says of Addison!). She talks while putting herself to sleep, she talks while being burped, she talks when her diaper is being changed and when she is playing. She loves the sound of her own voice.
Our little baby now seems more like a little girl. She is growing and changing right before our eyes. This week she has her 4 month well visit (even though she will be 18 weeks on Wednesday) and most likely we will be starting her (slowly) on rice cereal (pending the dr's instructions). We will make sure we get pics and video of that.
Much love!
