Well, we made it! After 8 days we are finally here! It was a pretty easy trip, probably not as easy as a 6 hour plane ride, but we were able to do it at our own pace and visit family and friends along the way. Lacy is still trying to adjust to a new time zone and that has been a bit tough on us as it requires a 3am wake up! Just as we were getting her to sleep through the night we have to start the process all over.
We got to Sausalito around 11am this morning and Lacy, Harley and I got to lay eyes on our 'new' home for the first time. What an amazing view driving into Sausalito...breathtaking! I feel so lucky to be able to live here for the next 2 or 3 years. It was a beautiful day, the sun was shining, the sky bright blue, the aromas incredible...it smelled as Ryan likes to say "like Longwood Gardens on crack!" We grabbed some lunch on the main drag in town and soaked in the scenery. Lastly we waited in our completely bare house from 1-5pm for Comcast to come and hook us up. Looks like Comcast is just as inefficient in California as they are in Northern Virginia. They showed up right at 5pm!
Tomorrow our stuff comes and then the real work begins!
